India is working with Quad partners and private-sector allies to reduce dependence on concentrated technology and critical-mineral supply chains. The effort combines more than $85 million in planned support for trusted AI across the Indo-Pacific with cooperation on semiconductor resilience, mineral extraction, processing and recycling. Domestic initiatives such as the proposed Adani-Jabil venture aim to manufacture AI servers, storage, networking, power and cooling equipment in India for local and international markets. The broader strategic concern is that export controls, economic coercion and supply-chain choke points could disrupt growth and limit technological autonomy. What remains at stake is whether partnerships, investment and diversification can create reliable capacity while India balances cooperation with competing powers and unresolved commercial and regulatory hurdles.
